Restoring this photograph was very challenging. My client’s dog Eddie had decided to bite it up causing many teeth holes and saliva damage as he chewed away.
At first glance the photo looked ruined and beyond repair. I applied my Restoration Photo skills to save this photo of Young Bill. And yes it was a long arduous task.

Some photos just need a few touch ups and others require a detailed reconstruction. All my clients have been amazed and very happy with their restorations of old family photos.
To complete this restoration I had to clone the reasonably good areas of the image bit by bit and piece it back together. This was like doing a big jigsaw puzzle.
This original 1970’s photo was faded and was in need of TLC and so I chose to add contrast and color. And as you can see this worked well.
In the end after a few hours the new restored photograph was complete with my client saying “Edward this is brilliant, I love this and I love what you have done thank you”. And it’s so ironic that it took one Eddie to damage the print and another Eddie to restore it.
This image restoration is rewarding in the fact it actually looks better and more arty now than it did before so the dog Eddie did Bill a favor in one sense. This is one of very few photos that my client has from his childhood so it was very important naturally to him to save it.
