I have a great passion for sport and I full get the emotion at the peak critical moments of action that can be documented in that split second….timing is everything with sport.
I have found Netball to be one of the most quickest and challenging sports to photograph…even under 10’s can be super fast and hectic.
I was chosen as Newcastle Jets A League Football Club Photographer in their early years of 2006 -2007 capturing many images of action and Team photos for their website and corporate flyers.
Every sport is different and being in the right place at the right time is ideal and lucky and then you must be ready to get that shot. So you have to be in sync and switched on to act fast on the shutter.

The editor of The Newcastle Herald gave me the task from 1990 to 1996 to capture “Juniors in Sport” for the Hunter’s weekly edition. This was very successful and it increased The Herald’s photo sales by 350%.
In 1990 and again in 1994 he won an Australian Journalists Assoc Prodi for excellence for Sport Photography for the images I captured for The Newcastle Herald.
I have enjoyed sport and I competed in Triathlon Olympic Distance and Half Ironman Triathlons wining podium places at State and at National levels.
With Cycling I achieved several Hunter Valley Cycling Club Masters Age Group Cycling Time Trial Championships.

Some big events that he has covered include the 1997 Rugby League Final Series at the Sydney Football Stadium.
I photographed a few games for Rugby League Week Magazine along with two A League Football Seasons for Newcastle Jets.
For The Photo Library in North Sydney I photographed the Australian Socceroos vs Argentina World cup Qualifier, several Ironman Australia Triathlons and the BRW and Blackmores Marathons just to name a few.
Also there was numerous photo documentary shoots for Runner World Magazine.
